WHAT ARE THEY AND WHY SHOULD I WRITE ONE?
Certificates of Authenticity (COA) can accompany all artwork you sell, Originals, prints and ACEOs, certificates protect you and the buyer ,not only providing essential information about the piece, they also prove that it is original. Prints should have one too stating whether it is a limited edition or an open print edition . It is not uncommon for someone to copy and sell your image as a print without your knowledge therefore making it next to impossible for you to make any decent sales in the future when cheap copies are in the market. This is why it is very important to always include a Certificate Of Authenticity and ensure you will get one when you buy art. The potential customer will feel secure to buy from you and it adds professionalism. However this is up to you, any reciept/note you include with the art is fine.
